The Florida Chapter has made great strides in giving back to the Gainesville community since its return back to campus. On a regular basis the Florida Chapter sets aside time to go out in groups to pick up trash throughout Gainesville through Keep Alachua County Beautiful or participate in UF’s Big Event. Alongside the Big Event our chapter regularly participates in UF’s chapter of Dance Marathon where we host events like Dunk a DChi and partner with sororities to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network! We also have worked with local animal shelters to raise money and help animals get adopted at our popular Delta Chi Dog Walk event while also engaging the community to help make toys for the animals. 
 
Our biggest accomplishment thus far is raising over $3,300 this past semester for the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, hosting fun events like Earthball, Delta Chiaraoke, and gameday raffles to help support that effort! 
 
We as a chapter like to get involved through various outlets whether by running 5Ks for the Special Olympics, cleaning up our community, or fundraising money for causes that help our community and great organizations across the nation.
